Responsible for technical support and training of users of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) of Summit County that are based in agencies throughout the community that are part of the Summit County Continuum of Care for the Homeless (CoC).
Areas of Responsibility:
- 40% Training and Technical Support: Provides user training on the HMIS to staff of Continuum of Care agencies, answers the Technical Support Hotline and assists agencies with their program funding source HMIS data export and repository uploads. Seeks areas for improvement within CoC agencies to make the process more efficient and works with HMIS Administrator to implement with all end users.
- 40% Data Quality and Reporting: Identifies data quality problems and assists CoC agencies in addressing data quality issues to ensure all data entered in HMIS is current, accurate and up to date. Runs monthly data quality reports for CoC agencies and assists with routine data quality checks. Assists HMIS Administrator by running preliminary reports and cleaning data before and after data uploads and before major reports (e.g., PIT, HIC, Sys PM, APRs, AHAR/LSA, etc.) are due. Assists HMIS Administrator and the CoC Manager with site visits and ad hoc reports.
- 10% Training Manuals and Record Keeping: Creates and maintains up-to-date and user-friendly HMIS manuals and training materials. Maintains appropriate records and documentation of trainings, technical support provided, meeting minutes, and site visits.
- 10% Partner Relationship Management: Establishes sound working relationships with area non-profit organizations. Works with participating non-profit organizations to improve their use of technology and connectivity. Attend HMIS Advisory Committee meetings and HMIS User Group Meetings.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in MIS, urban planning, public policy, community development or related discipline required.
Skills/Experience:
- 1+ years’ experience with relational databases required.
- Strong computer skills, and an interest and ability to learn new skills.
- Competent in MS Office products.
- Interest in the improvement of the Summit County community.

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Position is primarily a normal office setting, requiring long periods of sedentary work at a desk and computer.
- Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office, walking, climbing stairs, utilizing elevator.
- Extensive reading.
- Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Must be willing to work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours on occasion.
- After-hours event attendance occasionally.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
- Valid driver license and proof of insurance.
- Access to reliable insured automobile to be used for work-related travel in Summit County area.
