United Way of Dane County is seeking a full-time Senior Director of Strategic Collaborations to provide leadership to the United Way team charged with identifying strategic and innovative opportunities for major foundation and government grants to fund strategic initiatives of the Agenda for Change. Lead collaboration with other Community Impact staff and partner agencies staff to develop programs and proposals that perform or have the potential to perform at regionally or nationally competitive levels to improve the lives of children, youth, and adults. Provide leadership, project management, mentoring, and/or research support towards the implementation of high quality and financially sound grant-funded programs.
- Responsibilities include strategic management of operations and processes, foundation and government grant development – pre-award, grant launch, measurement, assessment and reporting.
- Collaborate with Community Impact staff as well as staff at partner agencies to nurture positive and solutions-oriented relationships that develop programs and proposals that perform or have the potential to perform at regionally or nationally competitive levels to improve the lives of children, youth, and adults.
- Knowledge of non-profit management and health and human service fields.
- Knowledge of outcome-based planning, systems reform, and program development.
- Specific knowledge of measurement, outcomes, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of performance evaluations and statistical analysis.
- Experience in budgeting and financial monitoring.
- Strong program development and evaluation skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing.
- Strong word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, database and online computer application skills.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human service leadership, administration and management.
- Ideally, experience with government and foundation funding sources and revenue systems.
