Indiana 211 - Resource Database Manager

The Indiana 211 (IN211) Partnership provides vision, leadership, and management for the local 2-1-1 Centers throughout the state leveraging resources to sustain and expand services.  The Resource Database Manger is responsible for the overall management of IN211’s comprehensive database of community resources.   

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure database information adheres to IN211 and AIRS database policies, procedures and style guides;
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure records are updated in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain open dialogue and work with IN211 staff and center directors.
  • Utilize report functions in data systems for both standard and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Provide training and supervision to IN211 resource database staff responsible for data entry and record maintenance.
  • Develop monthly goals based on the current number of active resources needing formally updated.
  • Provide IN211 State Director with monthly feedback on progress toward goals, adherence to standards and any issues that may need to be addressed.
  • Maintain appropriate relations with other professional and social service groups in the community.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
Educational Background: 
BA/BS in appropriate degree/education with five years of management experience preferred;
Skills/Experience: 
  • Individuals with human services backgrounds with significant training in database management may also be considered with certification (CRS) from an accrediting organization such as AIRS.
  • CRS certification required; CIRS certification preferred;
  • Must be highly organized, flexible, and independent;
  • Must have strong supervisory skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to implement and explain program policy and procedures;
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work with a broad range of individuals and personalities and knowledge of the human service delivery system.
  • Some IT management operational skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of government agency and non-profit organizational structures preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a broad range of individuals and personalities; knowledge of human service delivery and social issues from both provider and consumer points of view; knowledge and experience with volunteerism.
