The Database Manager is responsible for the management of the campaign & CRM software (Andar). The main responsibilities include improving the effectiveness of the database tools and services, ensuring all the data complies with standards and legal regulations, protecting and backing-up information, monitoring database performance, improving the technology used, monitoring data entry procedures and troubleshooting.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Support and manage the use of all database functions across the organization.
  • Create / develop reports & data that will support organizational decision making and activities, including but not limited to:
    • Maintaining a high level of data integrity ensuring it follows established ANDAR data protocols
    • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to Database management and training.
    • Train, assist, and support staff on data and reports
    • Complete data imports using Andar Connector
  • Database development and maintenance
    • Perform regular database maintenance in a timely and efficient manner including merging duplicate accounts, creating new accounts, and maintaining account names and contact information.
    • Coordinate system updates and the addition and maintenance of modules including ePledge and MIG
    • Plan and manage the ANDAR Campaign Rollover including campaign structures
  • Coordination of ePledge module
    • Provide leadership and planning for ePledge campaign activities of our organization
    • Work closely with corporate campaign coordinators and United Way staff to ensure that they are trained in the use of ePledge, that ePledge campaigns are structured and set-up properly, and functional by specific kick-off dates. Work with staff so that campaigns are completed and closed properly.
    • Provide ePledge campaign reports on an as needed basis during campaign
    • Work closely with Pledge Processing to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aware of all ePledge campaign activity.
  • Create Complex Database Reports and Data mining
    • Support the organization in creating special data mining procedures
    • Manage and clean data reported from Andar to be used for mail merges.
    • Provide best practice recommendations for generating reports
    • Assist with UWW special reports including but not limited to DBI and DBII
