Manager, Investor Relations – Latin America

You are part of the United Way’s Latin America Team, whose overarching objective is to support the development and positioning of United Way in the region by supporting United Way organizations in 11 countries (Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Chile and Chile).

To ensure United Way fully realizes its mission in the region, the Latin America team leverages the international United Way Worldwide network' capacities and knowledge, generate resources, helps to increase brand visibility and shapes cross-border regional initiatives.

The Investor Relations Manager will be specifically in charge of supporting the team in its effort to establish and cultivate partnerships with corporations, private foundations, multilateral entities and cooperation agencies at a regional level that enable member organizations to build and grow relations at a local level. In parallel, he/she will coordinate network shared marketing and communication efforts, as a strategy to position United Way in the region and support and optimize resource development processes.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Data Collection, Exchange & Update

  • Collect and analyze data that allows UW member organizations to identify, prioritize and approach prospect investors as well as deepening relations with existing donors.
  • Serve as a liaison between the UWW Corporate Relations Team and the UW member organizations in the region.
  • Ensure a timely exchange of information about partnership and funding opportunities among UWW, UW regional offices and UW member organizations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in UWW databases for key global/regional accounts.

Relationship Management

  • Provide support to the Regional VP for building regional partnerships, including assistance for C-suites and CSR calls, creation of regional account plans and reporting.
  • Manage relations, at an operating level, with existing and potential investors during the whole cycle: planning, communication within the UW network, following-up of opportunities and investments, recognition and stewardship.
  • Coordinate relationship management processes across UW member organizations in Latin America, working closely with local CEOs and Investor Relations Directors/Coordinators.

Regional Network Capacities (Resource Development – Marketing & Communications)

  • Develop and update a regional impact product portfolio
  • Coordinate regional marketing and communication initiatives by promoting and facilitating partnerships among local UWs, bringing assets and best practices from the UW system, and ensuring alignment with the UW branding guidelines.
  • Adapt, present and promote the use of UWW’s Resource Development best practices and tools among UW network partners in the region, together with the Network Capacity Manager.
  • Provide support to UW member organizations for developing and improving individual engagement strategies, including Workplace Campaigns, Volunteerism, Affinity Groups, Leadership Giving and other Major Donors programs, together with the Network Capacity Manager.
Educational Background: 
Masters degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum five years of experience in marketing, fundraising or business development, preferably in international settings and / or with multi-cultural groups.
  • Fluent in English (75% of work in English).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, knowledge of design tools.

Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $61,000 to $70,000 per yea

Additional Information: 

JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Full-time position
  • Open-term contract with a six-month probation period.
  • Annual Compensation: USD 60.000 – 70.000 depending on profile
  • Start date: November 15th
  • Location:
    • Bogota
    • This position is open for Local UWs staff members in Latin America, so a remote work scheme may be considered.
  • Travels: About 3 travels in Latin America and 2 in the United-States per year
