The Behavior Change and Community Health Team at Save the Children US seeks a fellow to assist with the innovation fund application of community engagement in urban areas using technology and social media; s/he will also assist with material development of team materials.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Assist with the Social and Behavior Change Communication/Community Capacity Strengthening (SBCC/CCS) team material development; research and provide recommendations to increase use of technology and social media in communities. This might include:

  • For Material Development: review of existing materials as basis to develop community mobilization job aids; experience developing high quality material for community level
  • For use of technology and social media: research existing documentation, publications, and advances of the team on mHealth and other similar innovations; develop plan to increase use of technology and social media in communities; experience in literature review, and knowledge of mHealth and other innovations related to health, especially community health
Educational Background: 
Currently enrolled in Master’s program or recent graduate in Health Promotion, Health Communication, Mass Communication, International Public Health, or related fields
Skills/Experience: 
  • Background in materials development
  • Some graphic design experience
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
