The purpose of this position is to assist the Vice President of Strategic Communications in executing the Communications and Marketing plan for the organization. There is a heavy emphasis on graphic design, digital marketing, social media and web content management. Strong organizational skills are necessary to assist in keep all departmental deadlines moving forward as well as for organizing events that increase and maintain United Way engagement., revenue and trust. Photograpy and video editing experience a plus, but not required. Requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and to work under tight deadlines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in communications, marketing, journalism, relevant discipline, or equivalent experience required. Requires prior experience with web and social media content management and confident abilty in use of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Photoshop. Writing, proofreading/editing, including grammar, punctuation and spelling necessary as is flexibilty to devote extended hours when necessary.
Salary: $31,000 to $40,000 per year
