We have an excellent opportunity for a DIRECTOR FOR OUR GO RED FOR WOMEN & FESTIVAL OF WINES CAMPAIGNS IN OUR LITTLE ROCK, AR OFFICE . You will have fundraising responsibilities bringing together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers to raise A FUNDRAISING GOAL OF $400,000 NET IN LITTLE ROCK, AR.
Go Red For Women is a yearlong campaign focused on women’s heart health that culminates with a premier luncheon in the spring. Festival of Wines is a festive mixer with wine pairings and restaurant tastings attracting 1,000 attendees annually. Both events have a silent auction and strong volunteer base. This is a great opportunity for someone in the sales or fundraising arena to put their skills to work for a national nonprofit leading the charge in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
- Revenue generation for the Go Red For Women and Festival of Wines campaigns, which includes, conducting sales calls to generate new business and manage existing donors constantly seeking additional engagement and sponsorship.
- Recruit and manage a team of high-level volunteers for each event.
- Develop relationships with and inspire volunteers, sponsors and key corporate and community leaders to join the American Heart Association work.
- Silent auction solicitation and coordination.
- Coordinate event logistics for the Go Red For Women Luncheon and the Festival of Wine event, as well as wrap around events throughout the year.
- Local daily travel within Central Arkansas with most travel in the Little Rock area.
- Experience with the Little Rock community and knowledge of local philanthropic community a plus.
- College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree. Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 ½ years of experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.
- 2+ years of experience in fundraising, outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’s educational requirement.
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
