The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) has a great opportunity for an Associate Individual Giving Advisor in the Chicago, Illinois area!
The Associate Advisor, Individual Giving is responsible for driving the strategic stewardship and donor engagement process for assigned geographic area leveraging Affiliate and National events and activities, as well as creating and implementing new engagement opportunities. The Associate Advisor is also responsible for ensuring assigned Cor Vitae Society and Paul Dudley White Legacy Society goals in total membership, retention, and overall financial goal(s) are met.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Meets or exceeds targets for retention, new members and financial goals for Cor Vitae Society and Paul Dudley White Legacy Society for assigned geography, raising at least $350,000 annually.
- Implements the Cor Vitae Society strategy for assigned geographic areas. Identify and strategically partner with assigned markets within assigned geography to ensure Cor Vitae Society experience is leveraged. Implements Cor Vitae Society and Paul Dudley White Legacy Society recognition and engagement at market events. Personally, meets with Metro Executive Directors and their teams throughout the year virtually and face to face, to strategically plan and support implementation of Cor Vitae Society and Paul Dudley White Legacy Society strategies including renewal process, new potential donors and deep engagement with field staff teams. With Director, Donor Engagement engages in continuous quality improvement and strategic implementation of Cor Vitae Society and Paul Dudley White Legacy Society efforts beyond the special events focus to increase retention and new members.
- Completes 150 Face to Face Donor Visits in a fiscal year. Enters all engagements, visits and interactions into BB CRM within a 72-hour period of donor engagement.
- Implements overarching stewardship strategy within assigned geography, ensuring donors are actively stewarded from point of organizational entry through engagement with major gifts and Charitable Estate Planning.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience:
- Working directly with donors
- Demonstrated collaborative skills with all levels of staff, prospects, volunteers and donors
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to initiate and follow-through on opportunities to engage with volunteers and donors
Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:
- Knowledge of the philanthropic landscape.
- Experience using donor relationship management software, such as BBCRM, Blackbaud, Dynamics and/or Raiser’s Edge.
