The Community Impact Program Manager supports the Director of OST Grants Administration in the general management of all District funded youth development programming (OST, Summer), which includes grantee program and relationship management, review of grantee reports, site monitoring, and technical assistance provision.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Grants Administration:

Support the Director for OST Grants Administration with the successfully management of the OST and Summer grant cycles by:

  • Help to develop and administer competitive solicitations for each grant competition, likely two to four competitions per year
  • Help to develop related documentation associated with a high quality solicitation. This includes (but is not limited to) the:
  • Assist with the administration of the grant review process, which includes (but is not limited to) the:
    • Connect grantees to technical assistance and professional development  opportunities
    • Review quarterly expenditure certification reports and supporting documentation
    • Review quarterly program reports and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data
    • Manage the completion of administrative and programmatic site visits (scheduled and unscheduled)

Assist with grantee trainings and quarterly town hall meetings

  • Provide analysis of grantee adherence to grant agreement Scopes of Work and ensure that grantees are meeting their stated outcomes
  • Ensure grantee adherence to risk management policies at each programming site, including program safety policies, background checks, site-specific emergency protocols etc
  • Other Such duties as may be required.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required

  • A steward of United Way NCA brand and understands his/her role in growing and protecting the reputation and results of the greater network.
  • Successful candidates must pass criminal background and reference checks.
  • Experience working with youth development programs and/or policy preferred

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years management experience required (including grants management and youth development experience preferred)
  • Previous experience dealing with a diverse group of individuals (i.e. corporate, community leaders, government officials, agency leaders, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience with a philanthropic grants process.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator.
  • Travel around the District is required.  Access to a reliable automobile is strongly preferred, not required.
