The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Regional Fundraising Director to work from home and report to the Baton Rouge Office.Primary purpose will be to cultivate and solicit corporate sponsorships and individual donations for two annual events: Heart Walk and a Go Red for Women Luncheon .Territory will cover North West Louisiana.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Recruitment of volunteer executive leadership committees
- Interaction with high level decision makers & community leaders
- Setting and meeting aggressive fund-raising goals
- Building new client relationships
- Securing corporate sponsorships and individual donations
- Daily travel throughout the territory
- NOTE: This is a work out of your home position that requires daily travel throughout the designated territory.
Educational Background:
Qualified candidates should have a college degree or equivalent experience;
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in volunteer management and/or managing community programs; demonstrated history of building and maintaining customer relationships; excellent presentation skills, including development of presentations and understanding of technology; skilled in written and oral communications and computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Frequent travel required, including some overnights
