To maintain the 2-1-1 resource database according to national and organization standards. Comply with AIRS national and agency standards including all policies, procedures and style guides.
Areas of Responsibility:
Database Curation: (50%)
- Assist with maintaining the 2-1-1 resource database according to national and agency standards. Enter changes of agency and service information to resource database. Help with additional database maintenance duties as assigned.
Communication and Partner Relationship Management: (30%)
- Utilize positive and effective communication with staff, volunteers/interns, callers, and agency representatives by phone, chat, email, fax, social media and in-person to verify updates to the 2-1-1 resource database and provide navigation assistance. Follow up on feedback from UW staff, interns/volunteers, agency contacts and callers. Attend community events/fairs and agency meetings as requested to gather information on interim updates and act as an agency representative.
Research: (20%)
- Compile information for the 2-1-1 database. Gather information for database maintenance purposes including new agency information forms, annual surveys and interim updates. Proactively collect information from websites, newspaper articles and flyers.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
Skills/Experience:
- Ability to obtain the Certified Resource Specialist credential from AIRS within the first 12-14 months of employment.
- Knowledge of social services agencies and systems preferred.
- Competent in MS Office products.
- Interest in the improvement of the Summit County community.

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Position is primarily a normal office setting, requiring long periods of sedentary work at a desk and computer.
- Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office, walking, climbing stairs, utilizing elevator.
- Must be able to sit, stand, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop.
- Extensive reading.
- Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Must be willing to work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours on occasion.
- Must report to work and be willing to work non-standard hours in case of a community wide disaster.
- After-hours event attendance occasionally.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
- Valid driver license and proof of insurance.
- Access to reliable insured automobile to be used for work-related travel in Summit County area.
