The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for an Associate Grants Manager in our Professional Education/Lifelong Learning group. This position is located at our National Center office in Dallas, TX .
The Associate Grants Manager is responsible for developing, writing, managing and reconciling all grant proposals and budgets for educational projects in conjunction with Scientific Sessions, International Stroke Conference and Professional Education. Additional responsibilities include developing new opportunities for education through education grant funding both domestic and international.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop grant proposals and budgets for educational funding in Professional Education/Lifelong Learning as well as for Scientific Sessions and the International Stroke Conference – estimated 5 tracks for Scientific Sessions, the State of the Art Stroke Nursing Symposium, the International Stroke Conference and other educational projects or programs in conjunction with Scientific Sessions and the International Stroke Conference. (7-11 proposals annually).
- Oversee grant budget administration of funded proposals including collecting financial reports and reconciling against original submitted budget.
- Research and recommend professional education opportunities for AHA accredited programs.
- Provide analysis and reporting on all grant funds and projects.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related area of study.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in researching, writing, and reporting on grant proposals.
- Experience with basic accounting principles and budget management.
- Prior experience in non-profit organization.
- Must be able to trael overnight approx. 5% of the time.
