United Way of King County is actively recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator/Analyst. This is a challenging position that offers a variety of interesting and creative work. Human Resources Coordinator/ Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of general human resources functions and providing administrative support to the Vice President of Human Resources. The position provides support in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training and career development. Administrative functions include updating HR policies and procedures manual, preparing written correspondence, completion of annual surveys, quarterly reports and related work projects.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provides administrative support to the Vice President of HR, maintains calendar, prepares meeting agendas and coordinates quarterly and annual reports.
  • Completes internal analysis and reports including exit surveys, culture surveys, 360-degree feedback, and other internal surveys.
  • Assists in recruitment activities including posting, advertising, interviewing, background and reference checking, and other recruitment-related tasks
  • Administration of online performance management to help ensure timely processing reviews
  • Supports HR activities, orders HR supplies, tracks expenses and budget, updates the UWKC organization chart, and handles HR department mail
  • Serves as a Liaison with United Way Worldwide training programs including conference coordination and the Flexible Credit program.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in business management, human resource management or related field is preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of complex administrative procedures and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independence of action and sound judgment in administrative matters, and use discretion, tact, and courtesy
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple functions and work effectively under deadlines and pressures.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both verbal and written; advanced  proficiency in grammatical composition and proofreading
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse staff across teams in a collaborative, constructive and effective manner; strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft applications required; advanced level preferred. Acrobat Pro, SharePoint and Visio experience desirable.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Four years demonstrated office administration experience is required.
  • At least one-year experience working in Human Resources or related environment is preferred.
  • Human Resources certification a plus.
