The Senior Director, Media & Brand Management will lead the development and execution of United Way Worldwide’s Media and Brand Management strategies and tactics. The Senior Director will collaborate with UWW’s Marketing leadership and AOR to develop and manage the creative direction for all enterprise-level brand work. The Senior Director will develop effective media strategies and tactics with AOR to drive KPIs for all donated media to proliferate the reach of UWW’s award-winning PSA suite. The Senior Director will develop, launch and manage enterprise-level marketing and communications assets for the United Way Network including the Brand Standards & Guidelines, Marketing Toolkits, etc. The Senior Director will head UWW’s Creative Studio – a full service Creative Services team, with graphic/digital design, videography and project management capabilities - in this role, the Senior Director will play an instrumental role as a key brand ambassador, ensuring that all marketing and communications assets are consistently on brand and on message. The Senior Director will report to the Vice President of Marketing & Brand Management.
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
- Collaborate with UWW’s Marketing leadership and AOR to develop and manage the creative direction for all enterprise-level brand work.
- Develop effective media strategies and tactics with AOR to drive KPIs for all donated media to proliferate the reach of UWW’s award-winning PSA suite.
- Develop, launch and manage enterprise-level marketing and communications assets for the United Way Network including the Brand Standards & Guidelines, Marketing Toolkits, etc.
- Lead UWW’s Creative Studio – a full service Creative Services team, with graphic/digital design, videography and project management capabilities.
- Play an instrumental role as a key brand ambassador, ensuring that all marketing and communications assets are consistently on brand and on message.
- Manage key strategic marketing projects - including national/multinational corporate and cause marketing collaborations - to ensure that all Marketing deliverables are delivered on time, within budget, and with a high level of quality.
- Compose high-quality written materials, including marketing and media plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 10 years of consumer marketing/brand management experience at a national or multinational organization; direct-to-consumer marketing experience required; private sector experience (client-side or agency) strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing both direct reports and cross-functional project teams; at least three years of direct supervisory experience, and three to five years of experience in a leadership role.
- Demonstrable experience effectively managing national/multinational media campaigns; donated media experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to effectively manage vendors to maximize ROI.
- Strong relationship/stakeholder management skills, preferably in a national or multinational organization.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of consistently delivering projects on time, within budget and with a high level of quality.
- Excellent writing skills; copywriting experience strongly desired.
- Ability to work autonomously with a minimal amount of supervision, and to excel in an entrepreneurial, self-starting and fast paced environment.
- Passion for the mission and values of United Way, with a strong interest in marketing social impact products focused on health, education and financial stability.
