This role is part of the Sales Technology team within our Digital Services Business Development organization. The team owns the learning strategy and execution for the Salesforce.org Philanthropy Cloud with the intention of improving Local United Ways productivity and understanding by providing the appropriate level of product knowledge relevant to their role.

As the Director, Sales Enablement you will be responsible for enablement of the Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud, a new platform that inspires, connects and empowers employees and organizations to maximize their giving power. In this role, you will collaborate with business partners in Sales, Industry Go-to-Market, and Product Marketing to identify role-specific learning requirements, determine successful outcomes, and then develop and execute learning programs as a part of the platforms enablement strategy. In addition, you will ensure that learning programs incorporate best-in-class learning design principles driven by Selling by Curiosity and deliver high value for Local United Ways.

This role requires a hands-on tactical manager with the ability to think and act strategically in a fast-paced and complex organization. As the Director, you will be able to lead a cross-departmental team to scope, design, execute, and measure learning initiatives to drive success. You will empower our Local United Ways to speak the language of their customers and position the Salesforce.org Philanthropy Cloud solution in an impactful way. You are a strategic thinker and enthusiastic educator, willing to take risks in order to achieve great results. You are a problem-solver who breaks down obstacles in order to accomplish your goals.

Areas of Responsibility: 

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:

  • Design, develop, and manage enablement programs for Local United Ways to accelerate Philanthropy Cloud learning
  • Engage and leverage Sales resources, including content, communications, and logistics teams, in order to execute on priorities and deliver high value enablement programs
  • Deliver learning experiences using a variety of mediums, leveraging innovative ways of delivering learning.
  • Ensure the internal team and stakeholders are aligned to the enablement development priorities, and are able to deliver a personalized experience that scales nationally
  • Connect, engage and inspire a team with diverse groups of people, include outside partners
  • Track and measure the results of enablement programs and content, and regularly report results to key business stakeholders
  • Work with partners across the company to develop and deliver enablement assets, tools, and programs including case studies, deal stories, playbooks, ROI tools, etc.

Educational Background: 
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of progressive experience in a similar role, and at least three to five years of experience in a leadership role.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 12 years professional experience with at least 5 years of combined experience in Sales Productivity, Corporate Learning/Training, and Sales or Sales Management, and/or Product Marketing
  • Experience producing and hosting educational events, driving adoption, and measuring impact of enablement programs.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with planning, prioritization, program execution, and collaboration across teams.
  • Experience leading enablement initiatives for a global sales organization.
  • Excellent executive presence, with the ability to build credibility with senior leadership.
  • Experience with technology implementations and cloud based solutions
