The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Part-Time Research Specialist at our National Center office located in Dallas, TX! This individual will be responsible for conducting health and nutrition related research in alignment with FDA regulations to identify new avenues for lead generation and revenue growth for AHA’s Heart Check program. Responsible for assisting with analysis and communication of findings to AHA’s Senior Management and additional functional teams.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Identify new avenues for growth and/or lead generation through data collection both online and with AHA's Mintel database
- Communicate data collection and findings regarding new avenues for program growth and/or lead generation in a clear, compelling manner
- Ensure online research is viable and accurate Coordinate with the Nutrition Operations Team on additonal areas for revenue growth with current Heart Check program participants
- Analyze research to identify potential leads/prospects for certification
- Identify areas of alignment and of potential concern with the prospect
- Prioritize and complete all assigned research reports for the Nutrition Operations Team as requested
Educational Background:
Registered Dietitian
Skills/Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in nutrition or related area
- Ability to effectively communicate research into ideas and suggestions resulting in program growth
- Ability to use AHA's membership requirements, numtritional guidelines, and dietetic knowledge to collect useful & relevant data
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Resourceful in ability to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision
- MS Office knowledge including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
