The Corporate Relationship Manager provides leadership to the United Way of Amarillo & Canyon corporate and workplace giving campaigns. The chosen candidate will build successful relationships with management and employees of local companies by matching their philanthropic interests with United Way’s impact work. Additionally, the candidate will work with the development team, other United Way departments and volunteers toward the fulfillment of the United Way mission.
Cultivate & Steward Corporate Accounts:
- Build relationships with midlevel management, human resources, marketing & communications, and other influential employees of local businesses
- Create and expand employee trust and support of United Way within local businesses
- Provide the “ideal experience” for donors and volunteers through mission related communications, handling inquiries, and informing investors of United Way community impact
- Assist local companies and groups with traditional fundraising activities such as workplace campaigns and special events
- Consistently represent the United Way and its mission in a positive manner
Volunteer Management
- Along with the resource development team, develop, motivate and manage a key group of volunteers that assist with the United Way fundraising campaign
- Recruit and manage a group of over 50 campaign Loaned Executives (LEs)
- Strategically place appropriate campaign volunteers with key corporate accounts
Fundraising Planning
- Create account plans and action steps to remain engaged with corporate leaders year-round
- Work closely with employee campaign coordinators to develop company specific fundraising plans
- Use creative thinking and multiple resources to develop new or improve existing revenue streams
Other Duties
- Maintain accurate donor information in United Way database including all communications, donor inquiries and follow up information
- Help with United Way events as needed and other duties as assigned

ENVIRONMENTATAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The environment for this position is an open office that is mostly clean and comfortable and may include driving a company or personal-owned vehicle approximately 40% of the time which includes exposure to the outside weather and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will.
The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, and reaching.
The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, cellular telephone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), computer terminal and related printers.
The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, and multiple concurrent tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of fundraising, sales, or customer service experience
- Ability to effectively build relationships with corporate, local government, and nonprofit leaders as well as community members, colleagues, and volunteers
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to achieve goals
- Must be mission focused and able to link donors, volunteers, and citizens with the United Way mission of fighting for the health, education and financial stability of everyone in our community
- Must act with integrity and strong ethics that are reflective of the United Way brand in all environments and situations
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Ability to communicate with diverse audiences with maturity and good judgment. Must have awareness of others’ subtleties and nuances such as body language and voice tonality to better understand what is important to donors and how to engage them with United Way
- Experience in working with data management systems, Andar 360 experience preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information and management of a variety of responsibilities
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation and cell phone required
