Areas of Responsibility:
The Vice President (VP), Marketing & Communications will be:
- Responsible for the development of United Way of Roanoke Valley’s communication strategy
- A contributor to the organizations strategic planning process
- Responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization and its leadership
- An ambassador for the organization and will need to build relationships with the media.
- Responsible for United Way of Roanoke Valley’s varied and integrated communications products and services including: design and development of marketing collateral tools, newsletters and other print publications; Web, E-news and other online communications; media and public relations; and other marketing related events and activities.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field. Advance degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years experience.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $51,000 to $60,000 per year
