About Us
Mission:

The Northeast Center for Tradeswomen’s Equity (NCTE) is a non‐profit organization working to increase access and opportunities for women and people of color to enter economically sustainable careers in the union building trades in Massachusetts. NCTE’s principal partners have worked for over a decade to increase women’s access to good careers in the union building trades.

Programs:

NCTE recruits women across Massachusetts and directs them through the admissions and enrollment procedures of the various union building trades, informs women of the opportunities available with the union building trades with a strong focus on women of color, monitors the progress of women in apprenticeship admissions and enrollment process, and supports retention and leadership development of tradeswomen. NCTE also participates in the MA Girls in Trades initiative to support female students in Career Technical Education programs to pursue a career in the building trades.

Why Work For Us?:

NCTE is a small non-profit organization that is supported by an active Board of Directors. NCTE staff are located in a co-working space in Boston with 2 other non-profits for a total staff of 12 people. We offer a very collegial and collaborative working environment.
