The Fanconi Cancer Foundation is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support fundraising activities and increase annual giving growth. Reporting directly to the Philanthropy Director, the Development Coordinator will handle all donation processing activities, identify and steward donors in the <$1000 range, as well as support peer-to-peer fundraising. The position will personally thank and steward donors and will follow internal processes and procedures to track the effectiveness of philanthropic expansion. Close collaboration with the Development Officer, Communications Director, and Marketing Manager is essential to the success of this role.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Reporting to the Philanthropy Director, the Development Coordinator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

Fundraising Program & Operations  

  • Process daily contributions via bank deposit.
  • Oversee and administer donation entry for offline and third-party donations.
  • Manage timely and personalized acknowledgments for donors, ensuring gratitude and recognition for their contributions.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative, positive working relationships with development colleagues, board members, and other constituents to maximize FCF's total gift revenue and annual giving strategies.
  • Work with Philanthropy Director and Development Officer to identify a target list of grants & corporations to further investigate as funding opportunities for FCF.
  • Call or write handwritten thank you notes to all donors in the giving range $100 - $1000.
  • Manage fundraising platform updates.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the Client Management System (CRM), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of donor records.
  • Create and compile internal fundraising reports using the CRM to track progress, analyze trends, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee and administer third-party donation platforms to facilitate efficient processing and reporting of donations.
  • Coordinate the preparation, printing, signing (as required), and distribution of tax receipts to donors.
  • Assist operations staff with day-to-day in-person office operations, including supply and mail management, equipment maintenance, printing and shipping.
  • Coordinate with the Development Officer to pack and ship materials for community fundraisers as needed.
  • Manage Salesforce account prioritization and next steps for FCF
  • Support FCF events as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous fundraising-related duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business administration or a related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in Fundraising, Development or Sales preferred
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to think strategically and implement improvements.
    • Proficiency in office software and operations management tools.
    • Strong ethical standards and interpersonal communication skills.
Compensation/Benefits: 
  • Salary range is $50,000- $55,000
