With a proven legacy that began as a swim team in the mid-1980s, Wave has evolved remarkably, now managing two aquatic centers and offering an array of programs that cater to our community's diverse needs—from swim lessons for all ages to competitive teams and community recreation opportunities. At Wave Aquatics, we have cultivated a vital resource that contributes not only to health and fitness but also to the overall quality of life for Eastside residents. With an annual budget ranging from $3.5 million to $4.5 million and over 100 staff members—many of whom are young individuals seeking their first job experiences—we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace. As the Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction of Wave, ensuring that we continue to fulfill our mission while adapting to the evolving needs of our community.
In this influential position, you will collaborate closely with our Board of Directors and our dedicated leadership team to implement innovative plans that optimize program offerings and maintain fiscal responsibility. You will supervise key team members who lead various aquatics programs and directly engage with staff to cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
