This is not a routine fundraising role. It’s a deeply relational, ministry-centered position for a gifted communicator who loves connecting with people, cultivating generosity, and advancing a Christ-centered mission. As National Gift Officer, you’ll partner with donors, steward relationships, and share the IFA vision.

- Salary: $116,000–$156,000 per year, plus a full benefits package.

ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Major Gifts/National Gifts Officer, you will play a pivotal role in building and strengthening donor relationships across the country. You will cultivate existing supporters, engage new prospects, and support strategic giving opportunities including major gifts and legacy planning. This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional who excels in communication, gratitude-centered donor engagement, long-term relationship building, fundraising, business development, and collaborative teamwork. Your work directly fuels IFA’s ability to expand its prayer mobilization efforts and fulfill its mission on a national scale.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage a portfolio of current donors, deepening relationships and fostering long-term engagement of their time, talent, and treasure.
- Provide ongoing care and communication to supporters who partner with IFA financially.
- Minister to the hearts of current and prospective donors with gratitude, encouragement, and the IFA vision.
- Oversee strategic communications with major donors and prospects.
- Coordinate opportunities for the President/CEO to connect with key supporters.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely information on donor initiatives, campaigns, and ministry updates.
- Support organizational funding initiatives, giving campaigns, and special donor experiences.
- Assess emerging fundraising practices and regional trends to enhance donor engagement.
- Collaborate with external partners on estate plans or donor strategy discussions as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in major gifts, donor relations, or nonprofit fundraising (faith-based experience strongly preferred).
- Proven track record in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and planned giving prospects.
- Expertise in planning and executing donor initiatives, campaigns, and events.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate warmly, clearly, and persuasively.
- Proficiency with donor databases or CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
- Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Experience managing teams (preferred).
- Familiarity with estate or legacy giving strategies (preferred).
- Willingness to travel regionally to meet donors (preferred).
- Alignment with and commitment to IFA’s Christian mission, values, and Statement of Faith.
Salary: $116,000–$156,000 per year, plus a full benefits package.
