Little Free Library has transformed how communities engage with books and literacy, creating a powerful movement that transcends borders. Since its inception, the organization has worked to promote literacy and community building. It has advanced its mission by providing 24/7 book access, fostering new Little Free Libraries, granting Little Free Libraries to high-need areas, championing diverse books, and working with key community partners.
With nearly 200,000 libraries worldwide and a growing network of volunteers, supporters, and donors, Little Free Library has become synonymous with grassroots literacy advocacy. Now, the organization seeks a leader who will not only preserve its legacy but also elevate its vision and mission, leveraging emerging technologies, strategic partnerships, innovative programming, and the growing array of digital literacy resources to address literacy challenges across urban and rural communities.
The Board seeks a leader with a passion for literacy, education, and community-building, and a commitment to advancing equitable access to books and resources. The ideal candidate will have proven success in diversifying revenue streams through corporate sponsorships, grant funding, and major donor cultivation; experience with data-driven decision-making and leveraging automation to streamline operations and enhance mission delivery; and have an understanding of direct-to-consumer selling and fulfillment.

The salary range for this position is between $165,000 - $180,000. Little Free Library offers comprehensive benefits that include paid holidays, vacation, health and dental insurance, and retirement benefits.
