Under the direction of the Vice President, the Branch Director has direct responsibilities for the Leominster and Montachusett Community Branches with a direct reporting team of Membership, Wellness and Aquatics. In addition, the Branch Director will work with the Vice President and the Regional Associate Executive for Child Care, Camp and Youth Programs and the delivery of marketing strategy for the North County. This position operates in accordance with the provisions and policies of the YMCA of Central Massachusetts and the bylaws of the Leominster and Montachusett Community Branches.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provides leadership and assumes responsibility for all strategic planning and daily operational activities for the membership, wellness and aquatics departments at the Montachusett and Leominster Branches.
  • Oversees the hiring, training, development and supervision of staff.
  • Develops, implements and monitors branch estimated and actual budgets for both locations providing direct control of expenditures and revenue ensuring that budgets meet or exceed expectations. 
  • Assists the vice president with board governance.
  • Designs, promotes and implements safe and effective programs consistent with member and community needs.
  • Works with staff and mission impact teams to coordinate and lead successful membership, marketing and financial development efforts.
  • Ensures the safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipment.
  • Oversees the Montachusett and Leominster portions of the YMCA of Central Massachusetts website and corresponding social media outlets.
  • Coordinates branch and Camp Lowe rentals.
Educational Background: 
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five years in related experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification is required. Must have strong human relations skills, program and staff development, budgeting, fiscal management, staff supervision and experience working with volunteers.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to raise funds; utilizing philanthropic fundraising techniques and the ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00
