The YMCA of Central MA is looking for a dynamic Program Director who has experience and a successful track record in creating a strong innovative Tennis Program while building a community of members. The Greendale Family Branch is the destination for many youth, families and individual’s interested in pursuing the lifelong sport of Tennis with 6 indoor clay tennis courts, an enthusiastic and experience team of pros and instructors. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of demonstrated experience overseeing program activities and proven knowledge and experience in tennis instruction. The position requires the ability to develop, monitor and achieve the tennis department budget goals, and market and communicate the many tennis offerings. The Director will ensure a clean and safe tennis facility including the highest standards of quality, safety and member service throughout the program. The successful candidate will require strong supervisory skills to ensure clear communication, support and leadership to the program staff.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and administration of all tennis programs.
  • Establish collaborations with key stakeholders-USTA/PTR, equipment manufacturers.
  • Hire, supervise and manage all instructors.
  • Market and promote tennis offerings and maintain communications with participants and the greater community.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and member service.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of tennis programming and instruction experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience in program development with a strong emphasis on program growth, participant retention and financial success.
  • Track record of staff development and team building among staff as well as member/program participants.
  • Proven ability to fundraise and engage members and program participants
Compensation/Benefits: 

The position is a Full Time Exempt position reporting directly to the Branch Executive Director and a member of the branch leadership team. Benefits include Health/Dental Insurance, free family membership, retirement and generous paid time off to name a few.

Salary: $47,476.00 - $55,000.00
