Lodging and Event Operations Supervisor

Key leader within 20 to 75-person Department.  Along with Director, Assistant Director, and nine other supervisors - contribute to the success of the team by completing and / or overseeing numerous tasks associated with leadership, training, commercial laundry, lodging and cabin cleaning, event set-up (weddings, group events, concerts, etc...), stocking supplies, and inspections. Resort has three lodges, over 60 cabins, several conference venues, a gymnasium, and numerous activity buildings. Housing available if needed. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Complete and / or oversee Inspector duties of facilities after completing qualification process (no previous experience necessary).  Supervisors and staff spend a large portion of the day walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 40 pounds (laundry bags / supplies / chairs / tables), and completing manual labor.
  • Assist / oversee with event set-up.  Hundreds of events, from large weddings to small conferences, occur annually at our facility.  LE-Ops staff set-up stages, audio / visual components, tables, chairs, and food for these events.
  • Leadership by personal example is a must.     
  • Promote a cooperative, positive and problem-solving atmosphere at all times.
  • Support the Association safety program.  Promote safe work practices and a safe environment for guests, members, and staff.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a diverse environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Complete and / or oversee commercial laundry responsibilities after completing qualification process (no previous experience necessary). Will be exposed to common laundry chemicals.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Basic computer skills required to properly utilize hotel software.  No prior experience necessary.   
  • Basic mechanical skills valued, but not mandatory. Supervisors operate and teach staff how to use industrial carpet cleaners. No experience necessary
