Under the supervision and direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Regional Senior Maintenance Director is responsible for the maintenance and security of the buildings, pool and grounds at the YMCA, as well as working with facility maintenance. This individual is responsible for ensuring equipment, facility and grounds are exceptionally safe, clean and functional.
Areas of Responsibility:
Facilities Management:
- Responsible for developing and sustaining an exceptionally clean and functional facility through the development of the appropriate systems, staff empowerment and resource allocation.
- Responsible for administering and implementing the Preventative Maintenance Plan for the association including the grounds, painting, roofs, vehicles, equipment, and other areas that need upkeep and repair.
- Accountable for managing all projects concerning major building and facility repairs.
- Responsible for the overall successful completion of program equipment maintenance and repairs, including the indoor and outdoor pools.
- Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date, standard inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for supervising all grounds-keeping and maintenance for the association.
- Ensuring safety in all programs by making sure all equipment and items used are maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
- Participating in the Strong Community Campaign by telling the YMCA story, recruiting volunteers, identifying testimonials and securing charitable donations
- Using CPO knowledge to assist branches as needed on pool-related issues (chemicals or maintenance).
Fiscal Management:
- Responsible for ensuring expenses are aligned with the approved budget and communicating regularly to the VP of Operations in regards to any issues that arise.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of systems regarding financial control including revenues, expenses and inventories as outlined in the Operational Manual.
Skills/Experience:
- Commitment to the YMCA mission, vision and values
- Ability to work flexible schedule; including 2nd and 3rd shift and weekends
- Must have reliable transportation that is available during work hours
- Must possess computer skills to include Microsoft Office
- Must attend Greater Wichita YMCA NEO (New Employee Orientation)
- Complete CPR/AED, First Aid, O2, and POOL Operator (AFO/CPO), Cybex/Lifefitness, Precor Certifications
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Must be able to frequently perform the following physical activities; climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand for extended periods of time, walk on uneven surfaces, lift and/or move up to 100 pounds from various levels, have finger dexterity, grasp, perform repetitive motions, talk, hear and have visual acuity to perform detailed tasks
- Must be able to perform work both indoors and out and be exposed to prevalent weather conditions
- Must be able to delegate work and manage multiple projects at various locations on a regular basis
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively; both orally and in writing
- Must possess problem-solving, organizational and task management skills; ability to make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment
- Must be detail-oriented and exhibit a high degree of accuracy
- Must demonstrate initiative and sound judgment
- Must be able to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner
- Must be able to work collaboratively as a team member as well as independently and lead by assigned goals, duties and deadlines
- Must possess ability to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
- Must present a neat and professional appearance at all times
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00
