Provide leadership and management for branch member services, staff and fundraising efforts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Membership Coordinator is responsible for implementing Association policies and procedures by assisting in leading and directing member services in the following areas:
1.STAFF DEVELOPMENT
a)Schedule and manage a high performing staff focused on providing exceptional service and work well as a team.
b)Assist in providing progressive customer service and sales training to all membership staff.
c)Assist in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
d)Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
e)Maintain staff retention through positive reinforcement and support.
f)Assist in providing monthly documented staff meetings/development and trainings.
g)Ensures staff certification records are current and fulfill all in-service standards.
2.PROGRAM OPERATIONS
a)Effectively communicate the mission, vision and values of the Wichita YMCA.
b)Ensure all services comply with YMCA standards and methods of operation.
c)Implement member service and engagement strategies that support the recruitment of new members and the retention of existing members.
d)Monitor and evaluate delivery and effectiveness of member services and continually strive to attain the highest possible level of quality.
e)Monitor daily membership numbers, weekly score card, etc.
f)Coordinate with the Association business office as necessary on financial transactions.
g)Ensure proper implementation of front desk procedures.
h)Have comprehensive knowledge of Association wide programs, as needed for the education of Member Service staff.
i)Ensure all membership and program information is tactfully displayed and available.
j)Be visible to staff and members.
k)Respond to all member and community inquiries and concerns within 24 hours.
l)Communicate program information, changes and needs in a timely manner to supervisor and branch staff.
3.FISCAL MANAGEMENT
a)Produce effective and efficient staff schedules within set payroll budget parameters.
4.STRONG COMMUNITY CAMPAIGN | FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT
a)Provide leadership for assigned aspects of Strong Community Campaign, special events and other fund development to ensure fundraising goals are met.
5.FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT
a)Maintain complete familiarity with all risk management procedures and policies.
b)Maintain front desk area in an orderly, clean and safe condition.
c)Keep an up to date inventory on all materials (literature) and supplies.
6.OTHER
a)Communicate information promptly to all branch leadership and departmental staff.
b)Attend applicable training and conferences to further professional development.
c)All other duties as assigned.
EFFECT ON END RESULT: Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives of the Membership Department with high levels of satisfaction and retention of members, participants and staff.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Visual, auditory and verbal ability to communicate effectively
- High levels of alertness, concentration and initiative
- Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform job responsibilities
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. and stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time; occasionally stoop/bend
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum age of 21
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience of proven success in membership sales, development and service.
- Current certifications CPR, AED, FA and O2 or acquire within 60 days of hire
- Must attend New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire.
