Since 1980, the nearly 600-acre grounds of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary have preserved the natural beauty and wildlife of northeastern Pennsylvania. The Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary is dedicated to the preservation of woodlands and open spaces…and so much more. The Sanctuary is home to the Dorflinger Glass Museum, home to one of the nation's largest collection of Dorflinger glass. In addition, for more than 36 years, the Wildflower Music Festival has presented quality music in a natural amphitheater, surrounded by majestic pines and sweet breezes. From the restoration of a worker's house to the relocation of the fire hall, work continues to save the glass heritage and history of the people of White Mills.
The Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the facilities with the support of current staff. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong leadership abilities, operation and event planning experience as well as financial management experience. They will be self driven and results oriented with strong oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with technology, social media experience with some marketing experience. A minimum of 5 years working with the public a must. Experience in the non profit sector preferred.
