Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the School Age Childcare (SACC)Director is responsible for providing a supportive and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.
Areas of Responsibility:
- The SACC Director is responsible for the daily operation and management of the SACC sites located in local elementary schools.
- Duties include supervision of the SACC program, ensuring compliance with all Department of Human Services regulations, curriculum design, and budget management.
- This full-time, exempt position will supervise Full Time and Part Time staff.
- The SACC Director is required to complete annual Keystone STARS trainings and comply with the branch's STAR level requirements as well as increase the program's star level.
- The SACC Director will provide staff leadership and supervision and enhance youth development in the SACC programs.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education or the Human Services field, required.
Skills/Experience:
- Two years of direct supervisory experience required.
- Experience in childcare administration or child/youth programming, preferred. Experience working in a YMCA Childcare department, preferred.
- Experience working with Keystone STARS and progressing through the Keystone STARS levels preferred.
- Knowledge of Department of Human Services and Chester County Information Services regulations a plus.
- Other qualifications include strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
