Under the direction of the Advanced Director of Youth Programs, the Youth Development Director is responsible for providing a supportive and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and thrive. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The Youth Development Director will provide staff leadership and supervision and enhance youth development in the School Age Childcare (SACC), Summer Camp and the Youth and Government programs. 
  • This position manages the development and operations of these programs and is also responsible for curriculum design, budget management and ensuring compliance with all Department of Human Services regulations. 
  • As a member of the branch leadership team, the Director serves as evening/weekend Director on Duty on a rotating basis. 
  • The Youth Development Director will also perform other duties as necessary.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in education or education related field or human services, required. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two years of direct supervisory experience required. 
  • Experience in childcare administration or child/youth programming preferred. 
  • Other qualifications include strong organization skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $40,000.00
