Oversee and supervise the physical operation of the branch buildings, grounds, and vehicles. Supervise and direct all branch custodial and maintenance staff. Work with other branch Facility Directors and maintenance staff in a team effort to improve member satisfaction survey results.Coordinate Branch Buildings & Grounds Committee meetings.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Provide prompt response to staff and members for cleanliness, maintenance and/or buildings and grounds issues.
- Maintain grounds in a safe manner and pleasing appearance according to the season.
- Maintain all building systems in a fully operational condition per Association/Branch Maintenance Manual.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies.
- Provide support and input to Branch Exec, and attend as needed, branch Buildings & Grounds Committee meetings. Provide information needed for committee to make educated decisions.
- Follow all Association safety standards when performing any tasks.
- Conduct quarterly unannounced fire drills with the Branch Exec and Childcare Director.
- Ensure that all Branch vehicles are clean and in good working condition and driven by only by association eligible drivers with proper training.
- Maintain all building and fire suppression inspections.
- Communicate with Branch Exec before and during all severe weather events. Coordinate and participate in self-performing site snow removal to maintain sidewalks, entrances and exits, and loading dock to the highest safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of building at all times.
- Maintain excellence standards as it relates to the Pursuit of Excellence Program.
- Participate in Association Facility Director monthly meetings and on Association Risk Management Committee.
- Develops and controls department budgets related to the position.
- Provides data and reports as required for assigned area of responsibility
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Educational Background:
High school diploma or GED required
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of three years of facilities management experience required
- Obtain and/or maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must obtain Class 1 Amusement Ride Inspector certification within one year of hire
- Be willing to alter work schedule to deal with job demands and manage competing priorities
- Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 9 days of hire
- Previous supervisory experience in customer service preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
- Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
