This is a tremendous opportunity for a proven, cause-driven leader to position the YMCA of Greater Brandywine as a charity of choice in the Chester County community.  Under the direction of the Vice President of Mission Advancement, the Director of Annual Giving is responsible for leading the annual fundraising and corporate sponsorship efforts throughout the Association to advance the mission of the Y.  This includes supporting the branches with their annual campaigns, ensuring that annual Mission Advancement goals are met at each branch, and representing the YMCA of Greater Brandywine in the community to help drive awareness of the Y's programs and impact.  This position is also responsible for event planning, stewardship, managing the fundraising records through Raiser's Edge, supervising mission advancement staff and developing new partnerships in the public and private sectors to drive sponsorship revenue. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Leads and develops the overall work flow for meeting the annual campaign goals.  This includes, but is not limited to, annual calendars, supervision of Raiser's Edge software and resources, working directly with the Branch Executives, and ensuring timelines are met.
  • Plans and implements Association-wide special events including Corporate Cup Golf Championship, Annual Kick-off Event, Community Partners Breakfast, and Volunteer Recognition Event.  Assist with Girls on The Run/STRIDE races and other major events as needed.
  • Provides vision and logistical support or all aspects of the annual campaign, including board, staff, Chairman's Round Table and community phases.
  • Provides a leadership role to assist all branches in meeting their Mission Advancement goal to include annual dinner management such as sponsorships, participant database, development of marketing materials, venue negotiation, vendor coordination, video creation, script writing, awards and event-day management.
  • Assists with the corporate sponsorship program for our Association and works with the branches to cultivate, create and support them in developing their sponsorship programs.
  • Creates event based registration pages in both Raiser's Edge and Net Communities.
  • Institutes direct mail campaigns in print, email and social media.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
A Bachelor's Degree in business and/or public administration, or a related field, or equivalent preferred. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate will excel at building and sustaining relationships, exhibit exemplary oral and written communication skills and possess strong project management skills. 
  • Three to five years experience in financial development required with a proven track record in corporate relations, fundraising or advancement. 
  • CFRE preferred. 
  • Raiser's Edge (or similar system) experience required.  Experience with staff supervision required.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
