This position will support the business process evaluation for the Association.  Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Business Analyst will provide direction that will support and continue the advancement of the YMCA's mission.  The Business Analyst will provide fact-based decision support and recommendations that will help drive the strategic direction of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine and continue to strengthen the organizations sustainability through solid business practices and decision support.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Evaluate existing business policy and procedures and effectively change and/or document to improve efficiency, controls, and oversight.
  • Develop process, system requirements, and reporting controls to ensure that business policies and procedures are effectively managed.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to affect change and provide resolution to business policies and procedures.
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support recommendations.  Actively manage the implementation of approved changes.
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct insightful ad-hoc analyses to investigate on-going or one-time operational issues.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and provide analytical support to drive the strategic direction of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine.
  • High proficiency in excel with focus on developing reports and financial models.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two or more years of related business analyst and/or decision support roles required, three to five preferred. 
  • Ability to think through complex problems and comfortable providing recommendations to Senior leadership.
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive. 
  • Extremely organized with strong time management and communication skills.
