This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced Childcare professional to enhance and grow our exceptional School Age Childcare program with sites throughout Chester County, PA. The Association Director of School Age Childcare will work collaboratively with branch leadership to develop, implement and grow School Age Childcare and Out of School time programs that are responsive to the needs of the community and consistent with the philosophy of the YMCA. This position oversees development of relationships, program curriculum, program implementation and operations of all School Age Chidcare (SACC) sites in accordance with Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations, Keystone STARS and YMCA standards.  Assists in recruiting, training and hiring staff and volunteers throughout the Association.  Develops and implements strategies to grow SACC programs and improve quality for maximum impact.  Provides leadership to committees and advisory boards.  Responsible for multiple branch and association initiatives. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Serve as a role model of cause driven leadership representing the Y mission, vision and cause in the community.
  • Develop supportive relationships with SACC Directors and Staff to provide guidance and collaborative decision-making and problem solving.
  • Create positive relationships with School and community officials to provide a network of support to nurture the potential of every child engaged in Y programs.
  • Assure all educational regulation standards are met and maintained in all programs.
  • Cultivate a vision of high quality programming through a commitment to excellence in service delivery.  Insure fidelity of evidence based programming and provide leadership of these programs as needed.
  • Conduct site and program audits to ensure compliance with all Safety and Risk Management standards as well as Quality standards.
  • Direct high quality parent engagement strategies and programs that support branch and association mission, goals, and strategies.
  • Create a culture where the YMCA is viewed as a community leader in the area of Out of School time programming.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts and annual operating budget related to program areas.
  • Complete other duties as required by supervisor.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Elementary or Secondary Education required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Five or more years of YMCA Childcare management experience preferred.
  • Previous budget responsibility of $2M or more.
  • Multi location management experience preferred.
  • Successful track record developing community collaborations.
Compensation/Benefits: 

 

Salary: $47,000.00 - $57,000.00
