Amazing opportunity to be the first Regional Child Care Site Director for three of our six full-day childcare sites! Two positions to fill.

Under the direction of the Child Care Director, the Regional Site Director is responsible for the implementation of the Licensed Child Care, 3K and 4K programs at the Kettle Moraine YMCA of the respective locations within the region

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Administers the program at all regional locations in accordance with DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers and YMCA Child Care Policies.
  • Develops and provides support to Site Directors within the region.
  • Observes classrooms and staff to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assists in hiring, training, evaluating and supervising staff within the region.
  • Assists in Youngstar renewals and implementation for the region and the overall strategic plans of the organization.
  • Develops and manages the annual budget for assigned centers within the region.
  • Provides strategic leadership to the Child Care Cabinet Meetings.
  • Completes quarterly Food Program Site Reviews for the childcare sites within the region.
  • Monitors program for compliance with Food Program Guidelines.
  • Collaborates with community organizations to enhance the quality of the program and strategic plans of the organization.
  • Ensures curriculum meets quality guidelines.
  • Conducts tours and monitors the intake of new enrollment.
  • Maintains or delegates all required paperwork for the program.
  • Schedules and monitors staff continuing education, conducts staff meetings and performs reviews.
  • Works with the marketing department to review and update promotions for the department.
  • Supports Site Directors and Teachers in behavior management.
  • Responsible for Child Care Parent Social Committee Meetings (2 times per year per site) for the sites within the region.
  • Plans and participates in center family events.
  • Work in program depending on staffing needs.
  • Assist with childcare programs across both regions based on program needs.
  • At the discretion of the Child Care Director, attends continuing education to increase knowledge and obtain required certifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associate Degree required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • 1 year of management experience including supervision and development of staff, budget responsibilities and program supervision.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills, customer service skills and the ability to relate to diverse groups of people.
  • Current CPR/AED certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must complete and pass fingerprint check.
  • Must complete a Health Physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to interact with children at their cognitive level.

Physical Demands:

  • The ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • The ability to participate in required physical activities with the children.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $40,000.00
