Under the direction of the Communications & Marketing Director, the Marketing Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting digital marketing efforts that drive awareness and acquisition for the Kettle Moraine YMCA Association and our three branches. The qualified candidate will be knowledgeable about current digital marketing tactics including website management, email development, video production, and social media; have experience managing digital marketing campaigns that drive qualified web traffic, have strong copy writing and project management skills; be proactive, organized and results-driven; and have strong interpersonal skills.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Continually positions the Kettle Moraine YMCA as a Cause-Driven organization throughout all digital marketing.
  • Writes and edits marketing copy for digital marketing mediums.
  • Creates and executes an organization wide strategy for digital marketing, content promotion and targeted messaging.  
  • Maintains a pulse on day to day operations of all locations and works with key staff to promote daily activities, special events, seasonal opportunities, and other association-wide initiatives through the website, social media, mobile app, and email.
  • Writes, updates and maintains organizational website content ensuring accuracy, timeliness and relevancy; assists with website development, usability and optimization, using Drupal 8.
  • Monitors and maintains online program registration portal.
  • Drafts social media content and monitors all social media properties, ensuring timely responses; serves as a resource to YMCA branches for social media best practices and management.
  • Sets analytics benchmarks and goals; compiles and distributes reports on web/email analytics and social media participation; utilizes evaluation of analytics to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Possess knowledge of best practices related to email marketing and develop content for marketing automation/email marketing initiatives.
  • Manages video production, produces simple marketing videos as assigned.
  • Works closely with the program directors and community partners to document stories and successes in project activities in a compelling manner across multiple digital outlets.
  • Coordinates the execution and delivery of our group fitness schedules, pool schedules and gym schedules on various platforms.
  • Schedules push notifications, sets-up fitness challenges, and maintains other Y app features to encourage member engagement.
  • Participate in department, project and team meetings.
  • Stays up-to-date with latest trends and best practices.
  • As needed, assists with other marketing department duties including print piece production.
  • Serves as an exempt staff member to the Kettle Moraine YMCA, performing other duties as assigned by the Communications & Marketing Director, Center Directors, District Executive and CEO.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1-3 years of experience in a digital marketing role.
  • Experience working with website content management systems, especially Drupal 8 and WordPress.
  • Complete understanding of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram and their management tools.
  • Experience with email marketing.
  • Preferred candidate will have proficiency with MS Office, html/website management, Content Management Systems, Web applications, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator, and internet technologies.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and meticulous with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and creative team player with strong problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $31,000.00 - $34,000.00
