Leads the digital transformation commitment of a billion dollar, purpose-filled, for-profit enterprise. Drives all digital services and capabilities for the company, ranging from consulting and strategy through production, operations, and optimization. Leads a team and collaborates equally effectively with AARP, business lines, and external partner networks to deliver world class consumer-centric experiences.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manages two digital services teams -- B2C solutions-oriented and B2B.
- Works in close partnership with AARP Digital, managing the commercial offerings and performance of shared enterprise assets, including web, mobile applications, e-mail, and social.
- Develops high-performing digital solutions that enable the vision and business requirements of the corporate strategy, product lines, and vast commercial partner network
- Supports sales distribution and insurance business lines, managing the development and experience of a new e-commerce platform.
- Develops an array of digital services offered to the partner network, including consulting, strategic development, and optimization capabilities.
- Creates and leads AARP Services Inc.’s (ASI) enterprise-wide digital strategy that helps increase brand visibility, traffic, content consumption, member engagement, and the sales of products and services.
- Leads teams of digital product, marketing, and operations specialists that support the needs of AARP, ASI, and its partner network.
- Directs and oversees the commercial aspects of shared AARP assets, including web, mobile applications, e-mail, and social -- maximizing the value for members, partners and the enterprise.
- Manages the B2B digital applications and presence for ASI, including all tools and portals for the business partners, applications for the distribution business, and tools for third-party sales agents.
- Facilitates the development of emerging and growth businesses for ASI, helping to define the strategy and building digital assets that support new initiatives.
- Furthers the evolution of ASI into a data-driven organization, leveraging data to create insights and inform strategy across the organization.
Educational Background:
Completion of a Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Technology, Marketing, or Business (Master’s degree a plus) and 15+ years of digital, marketing, and technology experience (e-Commerce experience preferred).
Skills/Experience:
- Diverse experience in a variety of categories and business models, including direct-to-consumer and business-to-business.
- Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation.
- Track record in building innovative, high-engagement digital experiences.
- High EQ, matrix management background and collaboration bias.
- Consumer-centric product strategy and design chops.
- Ability to collaborate with business owners on vision, goals, and requirements and translate to strategies and implementation roadmaps.
