This intern/skilled volunteer will support the innovation team in conducting research on current innovation trends and upcoming innovation conferences. S/he will develop internal events and communications as well as manage our innovation intranet site and innovation pipeline process. This intern/professional volunteer will support the innovation team in conducting research on current innovation trends and upcoming innovation conferences. S/he will develop internal events and communications as well as manage our innovation intranet site and innovation pipeline process.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Research and summarize current innovation trends in international development
  • Develop landscape analysis on current and future innovation conferences
  • Manage and update our innovation pipeline
  • Organize internal events
  • Develop and manage our innovation page on Save the Children's intranet site
  • Lead ad hoc administrative projects as needed
Educational Background: 
An individual must be enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate academic program and able to receive some level of credit from his/her college or institution. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Interest in research and analysis
  • Attention to detail critical
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and willing to work unsupervised in a self-directed setting
  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to intern or volunteer in the U.S.
  • To be classified as an intern: Minimum requirement is a letter of support and documentation is required only after an internship is offered.)
  • Any individual who is not a student or able to receive credit may apply for an internship, but will be classified as a skilled volunteer, not as an intern.
