NPM seeks a Staff Accountant that specializing in Collections for audio, digital and events.  This will be a  Collections person in charge of $110M in billing and Collections.   

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • A Staff Accountant specializing in Collections based in DC working as a liaison with NPR Finance, NPM Digital Ops and NPM Traffic.  The job would be focusing primarily on Collections for NPR Radio, NPR Digital and NPR Events. 
  • Role will have access to Allegiance and would be responsible for tracking payments received from clients including Cash in Advance and also identify and resolve billing discrepancies with NPM Ops and/or NPM Traffic. 
  • This position will also handle credit evaluations for potential clients and maintain on going risk analysis for current customers to assess and prevent write offs.
  • This position would also provide weekly and monthly reports showing outstanding accounts receivables for all NPR Revenue business lines by agency, by salesperson and track Collections statshe
Educational Background: 
Minimum education experience, required or preferred. (Ex: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience) Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with Accounts Receivable and Cash receipts
