Manages all aspects of social marketing, to the end of membership acquisition and renewals. Oversees all paid social planning, buying, (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn) and creative. Helps drive new and repeat membership transactions via campaigns executed across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other emerging digital platforms while working in a matrixed environment.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Assists in the hands-on execution and trafficking, as well as the day-to-day management and optimization of prospect and renewal paid social media campaigns across multiple digital marketing platforms (specific platforms include: Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, DCM).
- Tracks, builds, and analyzes reports for marketing campaigns, budgets, and general program activities.
- Works alongside agency, consulting, and external resources to design and deliver world-class prospecting, retention, and remarketing campaigns -- inclusive of media planning, creative development, and logistics planning.
- Works in cross-functional teams to collaborate and coordinate efforts across multiple business units within AARP.
- Supports the appropriate team with inquiries, issue resolution, and campaign launch confirmations.
- Coordinates with Brand and the Office of General Counsel to ensure paid social efforts are in absolute compliance with all AARP legal and brand regulations.
- Coordinates with the appropriate team to manage premium inventory and offer/campaign ID development or adjustments.
- Collaborates with appropriate AARP business units to leverage CRMs, DMPs, API-Partners, and other ad tech tools to manage development or automate audience feeds.
- Assists with building, tracking, reporting, and/or submitting budget accruals, statements of work, as well as any organizational privacy/security documents.
- Executes additional duties, as required, that result from the development of new or altering initiatives/activities tied to the Membership Paid Social Program.
Educational Background:
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field and at least 3 years of digital marketing experience on the client and/or agency side.
Skills/Experience:
- Digital marketing experience in online advertising campaigns.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with digital/social media adverting platforms is preferred, specifically in Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Kenshoo, and DCM.
- Demonstrates exceptional skills in organization and attention to detail by leveraging technical and interpersonal skills.
- Diligence and follow-through in managing digital marketing campaigns through the strategy, creative, trafficking, and performance stages.
- Requires a sound understanding of the digital marketing landscape, direct response marketing, as well as a thorough comprehension of the test and learn methodology.
- Ability to work effectively with people, to gain internal respect, and to build consensus with superiors and peers.
- Experience working in fast-paced, complex environments and large organizations.
- Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office suite.
- Must be a proactive thinker that maintains a positive attitude.
