Responsible for social media monitoring, reporting and insights. Will be required to analyze and synthesize multiple data sources including digital, social, search, mobile, video, and CRM to provide actionable insights and recommendations for the social media team as well as internal business units

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Proactively liaise closely with the social media team, AARP’s social agency partner and internal departments to provide tangible social media insights and campaign recommendations through data storytelling, training and education.
  • Provide the overall analysis of social data (both organic and paid) and content across multiple channels. Translate the data to actionable insights that drive growth in key social media metrics in accordance with the social media strategy.
  • Collect and synthesize data across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels using various social listening and analytical tools.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and updates.
  • Manage and fulfill ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Stay current with the latest digital and social measurement trends.
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards.
  • Ensure the social media team is a leader as it relates to brand equity insights and reporting.
  • Provide training and create constructive feedback loops across the organization to ensure an environment of constant testing, learning, optimization and growth.
  • Develop insight driven presentations for stakeholders and teams across the organization.
  • Identify and track audience conversion opportunities within key social channels, the behavior of loyal visitors, site traffic patterns, demographics and psychographics in order to drive audience growth.
  • Evaluate traffic to and from social media sites and analyze related marketing efforts to identify growth opportunities.
  • Identify and track key trends in AARP social metrics and find opportunities to drive audience engagement.
  • Manage the development and analysis of all reporting relevant to guiding improvements to social communication and social marketing efforts.
  • Manage and implement new reporting and analytics tools that help provide insights and drive growth.
Educational Background: 
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in an analytic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide social insights and analyze, interpret, and apply social data to drive business outcomes.
  • Exceptional ability to move projects forward in large, complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience with social media monitoring, publishing and analytics tools, such as Sprinklr, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Spredfast to analyze social data, such as Facebook, YouTube or Twitter Analytics.
  • Excellent understanding of Adobe’s Marketing Cloud with a particular focus on Analytics & Audience Manager.
  • Thorough understanding of paid media analytics; Paid media management experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional ability to translate data into actionable social media insights.
  • Solid understanding of data-driven decision-making and an innate ability to understand which metrics are correlated to business outcomes.
  • A proven track record in applying new and emerging technologies and trends to a brand’s social communications strategy.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great negotiation and mediation skills, as well as strong people skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Outstanding business acumen and judgment, intense curiosity, excellent analytical abilities, and strong technical skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of, and ability to work within, organizational politics, networks, and a matrix management system.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proven track record of vendor management.
  • Ability to collaborate across a complex organization.
