Provide technology support to volunteers through OneSupport, email and phone which will include support related to technology training, resource documents, asset management, and similar topics. Additionally, support general tickets that are submitted through OneSupport which may include tax site related tickets, access issues and other topics as needed.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Actively participate on the National Technology Committee meetings and provide support to the group which may include, but is not limited to meeting agenda, supporting documents, and notes.
  • Lead the development of documentation and illustrations of the technology systems and processes for the Tax-Aide program and ensure that the consistency of technology training.
  • Coordinate program HotSpots issued to volunteers for tax sites that need Wi-Fi access.
  • Coordinate the development of technology-related training modules and courses for the Learning Management System (LMS) to include, but not limited to collaborating with staff and volunteers, framework development, storyboard process, and course design using the identified e-learning software.
  • Coordinate the technology area of the Tax-Aide Resource Library in the Volunteer Portal.
  • In collaboration with technology staff and the Director, National Business Operations craft technology and security-related policy and procedures for rollout to the volunteer cadre.
  • Participate in user testing for various Tax-Aide technology projects as needed.
  • Support the release of mass email distributions to volunteers, which will include the release of SMT Roundup, CyberTax, Technology Bulletins and similar communications.
  • Adheres to all AARP Enterprise-wide policies including ethics, security/privacy, records management, and purchasing.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project coordination, or an equivalent of related training.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge and practical experience in large organizations with direct responsibilities for complex information management systems and multi-level organization structures.
  • Proven track record in scaling effective and efficient technology solutions using various pathways.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical skills and a proven ability to directly oversee and test ad hoc programming and Website management.
  • Exhibit a heightened sense of accountability to internal and external stakeholders and for outcomes created. Preference to take responsibility, coordinate multiple projects concurrently and deliver professional work-products within defined deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
