This is a shared position with fifty percent of time given to the Office of Policy Development and Integration (OPDI) and to the Research Library & Strategic Services department. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of OPDI and is responsible for:

  • managing the policy development process and the electronic publication of the Policy Book and related publications; and
  • working with the Research team to generate new insights across strategic issues areas, especially those with potential policy implications.   
Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Support Research by providing review and synthesis of key data generated by the different research teams and secondary resources across health, wealth and self, particularly in areas that may need policy analysis and development.
  • Based on the review synthesis of data support the research team’s work to develop new insights across these issues areas which lead to actionable, data driven findings that create social impact or new ideas to move markets to better serve the needs of the 50 plus.  
  • Drive greater collaboration between policy and research by serving as a catalyst to bring research findings and policy ideas together to generate new and interesting insights.
  • Matrix-manages Enterprise staff and vendors throughout the annual policy development cycle for the electronic publication of the Policy Book and related publications.
  • Manages relationship with DSO and outside vendor for maintenance of websites which includes policy present book and policy book plus.   
  • Maintains comprehensive database of policy development documents.
  • Coordinates and manages updates to PRI and Enterprise wide staff about changes to the policy book.  
  • Provide substantive support to directors across health, economic, and personal fulfillment issues as needed such as creating summaries of policy changes and drafting necessary documents.
Educational Background: 
Completion of an advanced degree in Public Policy, Research, Social Sciences, Law, or a related discipline,
Skills/Experience: 
  • 8 years of experience, including at least 2+ years related to research.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and exceptional presentation skills to present subject matter issues for all types of audiences. Knowledge of and experience with the needs and concerns of older Americans preferred.
