The Shot@Life Campaign is an initiative of the United Nations Foundation that promotes the message that vaccines are the most cost-effective intervention for saving and improving the lives of children in the developing world and will highlight the important leadership of the UN in vaccines. There will be three distinct, but interrelated, components: an intensive effort to raise awareness and mobilize resources from Americans in support of childhood immunizations in the developing world; high-level partnerships with other US-based organizations to reach a large number of Americans with the childhood immunization message; and an intensive advocacy effort aimed at Washington policymakers and American media.

The Senior Partnership Associate, Shot@Life is responsible for leading corporate partnership relations on the Shot@Life Campaign, including work with prospective and existing partnerships. This position will lead research projects and development of new corporate partner proposals, as well as manage the execution of existing corporate partnership contracts, including events, marketing materials, and reporting for partners. This will include collaboration with the Shot@Life team and UNF departments as appropriate. Additionally, this position will work as a lead for Shot@Life’s granting and impact strategy with Global Health.

The Senior Partnership Associate, Shot@Life is a member of the UNF and Shot@Life team and works closely with other UNF departments and programs such as Public Affairs, BWC, Global Health and BSBR. The position reports to the Executive Director, Shot@Life.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Partnership Management: Manage the execution of deliverables within corporate partner contracts and agreements, including events, materials, trips, and other tasks as assigned. The position should be responsible for making sure deadlines are met per the agreed upon plan.
  • Partnership Communications: Coordinate communications with corporate donors, including regular touch bases, newsletters, and other updates as appropriate.
  • Partnership Support: Develop pitch strategies, presentations, and written proposals that support Shot@Life’s grassroots advocacy and communications work, as well as support of global childhood vaccine programs.
  • Partner Prospecting: Manage corporate donor pipeline and research of organization background, CSR programs, philanthropic giving, and correlations to global immunization programs.
  • Reporting: Create impact reports for corporate partners as needed and assist with Shot@Life’s annual fundraising reporting to UNF leadership.
  • Tracking: Management of corporate partners in Salesforce, including updating, completing due diligence of new partners, and pulling reports.
  • Granting: Work with Global Health on granting and tracking of Shot@Life’s funding to global childhood vaccine programs.
  • Contracts & Agreements: Work with Finance to draft corporate partner contracts, agreements and amendments.
  • Marketing Materials: Work with Public Affairs to create and update materials used for marketing to corporate partners. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of professional experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong writing skills, particularly in developing proposals, memos, and reports for both internal and external audiences.
  • Strong communication skills, in person, over the phone and in writing.
  • Experience in the development of marketing materials.
  • Strong skills working in teams and across many types of organizations – collaborator; problem solver; relationship-builder; and strong inter-personal skills.
  • Experience in event planning, including project management, logistics, and execution, is preferred.
  • Self-starter, highly organized, pro-active with both energy and creativity.
  • High stress tolerance and resilience, sense of humor, and ability to work under pressure with multiple and shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to travel (10%). (Travel is very limited in this position).
  • Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
