Support the development and production of the on-going “How-to” Family Caregiving video series, including coordinating group emails, reminders, meeting announcements; interfacing with AARP Studios and related contractors, maintaining updated production schedules and working with the team on release strategies.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide technical assistance to members of the Home Alone Alliance and track related metrics for disseminating resources and amplifying the work of Home Alone Alliance through social media to inform status reports and strategic planning.
  • Serve as an active member of the planning and implementation team and support special projects as needed.
  • Maintain the day-to-day files (electronic and paper) associated with the work of the Home Alone Alliance.
  • Execute administrative tasks as required (such as calendaring, organize meetings, process expense reimbursements and assist with travel arrangements as needed).
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with functional areas throughout AARP and with external collaborators, including but not limited to, funders and consultants.
  • Manage and track time-sensitive projects and events to ensure timely completion of all deliverables. 
  • Develop and provide project status updates to relevant team members at regularly scheduled intervals. 
  • Prepare materials, reports, project plans with clearly defined goals, objectives and intended outcomes to inform strategic decisions and priorities. 
  • Work with external consultants, funders and other key contacts, as necessary and communicate with liaisons at related organizations to arrange conference calls, web conferences, meetings and events.
  • ¿Provide backup support to administrative assistant of the SVP, Public Policy Institute.
Educational Background: 
Completion of a bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3-5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position. 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple departments. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and electronic communication.
