World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Project Specialist, Network Development and Compliance at our Washington, DC office. Under the direction of and in consultation with the Director, Grants Administration and Compliance and in accordance with WWF compliance processes and procedures, manages compliance information and facilitates compliance monitoring of Government funding Agreements using a comprehensive MS Access database. Identifies, communicates, tracks and monitors contractual requirements, and provides technical assistance as needed to ensure sound contractual compliance with Agreement terms and conditions.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Identifies, interprets and enters all contractual provisions of the Government-funded Agreements in an MS Access database system, and monitors compliance requirements; develops the agreement implementation plans (AIPs) for all WWF Government-funded projects and disseminates to Program staff.
  • In collaboration with the Director, identifies and resolves compliance issues relating to Government-funded agreements. Works with program staff to develop, organize, and finalize all materials needed for means of verification to document compliance. Facilitates action plans to bring programs into compliance, provides monitoring and oversight to ensure that compliance issues are fully addressed. Ensures Government compliance information is well-organized, deadlines are met, and problems or inconsistencies are raised and addressed.
  • Alerts staff to upcoming deliverable due dates and Agreement expiration dates; and facilitates follow up actions needed in coordination with Program staff and the Director.
  • Prepares proposal certifications and assurances, pre-award surveys, and other institutional documents as needed.
  • Facilitates internal review and proper submission of final (signed) Agreement and Amendment documents to government agencies and other donors as applicable. Drafts signing authorities for new agreements and amendments for field staff and coordinates receipt of all final (signed) field agreements and amendments.
  • Maintains the Network Development and Compliance intranet site.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of four years relevant professional experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software systems, including SharePoint, Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint essential.
  • Knowledge of USG Regulations (2 CFR 200) and grants management principles preferred.
  • Ability to accurately maintain a complex database.
  • Initiative, ability to prioritize and complete work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
