The Producer in our Programming Division will assist in producing material for Primer, a new weekly podcast that journeys into the past to better understand the present. History is often missing from our national discourse and is sometimes presented in a boring way. The show aims to change that by exploring the history of current events through creative, immersive storytelling that uses cinematic production. Primer will bring past to life in a fun, energetic way and reintroduce history to a new audience.
The Primer producer will help develop a vision for this next chapter of the podcast. The producer will provide editorial and production leadership for the unit and help produce episodes. A strong journalism background is a must, as is a commitment to narrative audio storytelling.
