This position is responsible leading up a web development team with AARP.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned to project objectives
  • Work product owner, team leads, and developers in defining application architectures and implementation to ensure adherence to business requirements, technology standards, best practices, business strategies
  • Translate product and business goals into technical strategy and roadmap
  • Accountable for application security principles including the development of secure coding standards and practices.
  • Is a key contributor in client/technology interactions in the development of technology solutions.
  • Work closely with product owners to refine requirements.
  • Oversee the Adobe AEM platform in developing a Secure Software Development LifeCycle
  • Develop and maintain technology solutions and processes that will enable organization to scale, innovate, improve our member’s digital experience.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, industry knowledge and team leadership for the development team.
  • Enhance, fix bugs, and increase performance of the existing codebase
  • Facilitating design/architecture discussions
  • Designing high-quality code that’s highly scalable and extensible;
  • Investigating, learning and applying new technologies/processes
  • Consult with management and clients on project status, scope, design, and outstanding issues.
  • Developing and presenting architectural roadmaps.

This position operates with a high level of autonomy working directly with leaders across the organization as well as external partners to achieve goals. The role deals with an extremely high level of technical complexity that must be able to be communicated effectively with the business.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in related field with consumer-facing Java web development. ­
  • 4+ years in a Tech Lead position
  • Significant experience developing within a Content Management System
  • Work with Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Audience Manager a plus
  • 5+ years with REST web service development
  • Demonstrated strong partnering skills
  • Comfortable managing complicated technical projects
  • Clearly communication of complex technology to the business
